Activate Daytime Running Lights

If any member here is interested in adding this feature to their diesel truck; I found the information on another forum. Reading that forum most owners are saying their dealerships will perform this task for free and maintaining good customer relations. I like that Canada has made activation mandatory. I drive my Harley Davidson with the headlights on at all times. An extra safety measure is reassuring.

"The document that the service writer can refer to is "QVM bulletin Q175" dated 11-1-08. It states that DRL activation is authorized for all contractors, sub-contractors, OWNERS, etc. that make the request. The memo applies to all 2008 F250-550 and E-series vehicles. It gives instruction to plug the chosen vehicle into a laptop known as IDS (integrated diagnostic system) and change a setting on the VCM (vehicle control module). Hope this helps everyone.... "
