    I broke something here. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    To make a long story short. I was having some thumping sounds from underneath the front end for some time now. I managed to crawl under and spy some broken stuff. I am not a hard off road-er with this truck. I am sure it has been breaking slowly but surly over the years. I hardly ever drive her and when I do it is on road only, or just towing motorcycle trailer over the years.

    I am in need of some advice as to what I should do. I am currently unable to do the work myself. I am recovering from a multi level lumbar fusion and my back is out of commission. I will either have to wait and try to take the axle out myself and have it welded, or find someone to do the job for me.

    Has anyone out there had anything like this happen to their truck? If so, what did you do to correct it? Is there any reputable shops around to do the work?

    Thats not good. From the pictures the U bolts look fine and but it's the track bar mount on the axle that broke off. That is fixable with the axle in the truck. Bud over at The Diesel Shop (AKA OC Diesel Shop) has a guy there that does metal work and welding and he should be able to fix that. Give them a call 949-297-8477

    My friend Bill came by one day last week and performed some magic on my truck. He cleaned up the broken bracket and re welded it where it tore away, as well as installed two gussets. Assured me it would not break there again. I ordered an adjustable track bar and it came in today. We installed it and now i need to know what settings if any I should use. Or should I just center the axle in the chassis. It appears that the springs may need adjusted to allow the axle to move enough to be centered. Man I wish I had a lift.
