What temp for (ect) exhaust coolant temps?

Towed our new toyhauler home from the dealer and egt's were fine never got over 700. Now my ect were running 200 to 208 was wondering if that's too high? Thanks in advance

    Question

I don't know the term " exhaust coolant temps".

If you mean engine coolant temps, then 200 to 208 is normal.

700 on your exhaust gas temp is normal or maybe a little low pulling a load (Of course depends on how heavy is the trailer and any hills and any wide open throttle??). And, is your exhaust temp sensor before or after the turbo?...that can effect the reading several hundred degrees!

At face value, looks like the tow was easy for the truck!!

Sounds like you're referring to EGT...Exhaust Gas Temperature. With a 700 degree reading I'd assume that the pyrometer for your EGT gauge must be installed post-turbo in the downpipe, which typically reads 200 or so degrees lower than a pre-turbo mount in the exhaust manifold. 700 degrees EGT post-turbo isn't even getting close to a temperature that you need to be worried about. I'd only start getting concerned if it got up toward the 1000 degree mark.

Your ect (engine coolant temperature) sounds fine for towing.

Sorry for the confusion I meant engine coolant temp. As far as the pyrometer it is before the turbo and the trailer was empty and weighs 6600 and around 10,000 loaded. The egt readings were going up a few grades but not having to floor it. My truck is lifted 6" with 35's it has a 5" turbo back exhaust, a Sct programmer from innovative Deisel and the stock 3.73's.
Also on my tuner when choosing the options for my towing tune should I lock the torque converter on the 123 gears and it gives me the option to " lock at ct" what is that?
