Temp gauge & no heat question

    Hello,
    I have an 03 f350 with the 7.3l engine.
As it would happen its getting cold in Cali and my truck has no heat.

I did notice that the engine coolant temp gauge isn't moving.
I have had the truck running and driving for about 2 hours and still no raise on the gauge or heat from the heater.

    Please help if you can.
    Thanks,
    Eddie

Guess I'll start at the thermostat replacement first. and I'll have to figure out where the gauge sensor is to check that.. As for the heater core I have no clue how to check that.lol

Well I got a new thermostat, seal and engine temp sensor and replaced them today. So the theromstat was stuck open so its a good thing I replaced it.
Is seems that the engine temp sensor was bad as it seems to be reading the right temp. But it didn't seem to fix the heater issue, I 'm thinking that the heater issue is caused by the center hot/cold knob. it's almost like its not sencing that its all the way over to the hottest setting or something like that.
Now I'm gonna see how to get that switch out and what its gonna cost to replace it.

ok.. you can double check the two lines going to the heater core.. should be 3/4 or maybe 7/8 should be pretty hot.. prob might be the door in the a/c heater box not opening..
