    Siren Sounds

I think I figured out what is causing the siren sounds. I was towing this weekend and it did it again, only when I was under power going uphill (It was also 115 F outside)

It must be the fan clutch!

It does change speeds with the engine.
It also fluctuates on it's own.
It sounds like the fan sound on my '67 Ch**y.

Anyway, I'm going to bring it up with the dealer and see if there is any fix.

It is normal, I have heard about it from many people prior to getting my truck. It does it on mine when I am going up a steep hill, or when it is really hot outside. It is a weird sounding pattern...on..on..on..on..on. Sounds like something is turning if off and on over and over again.

Rest assures that it is common.

Thanks. That makes me feel better. I'm going on a long trip to Montana and I didn't want any surprises.

Oh Yeah the Notorius Fan Clutch. The first time i heard that thing i was hauling my jeep to Big Bear and the Fan Clutch engaged. My wife and i looked at each other and said what in the [censored] is that???????? it is startling loud when i arrived in Big Bear i called the Service Writer at my dealership to ask wha the [censored] the noise could be?? They laughed sort of and confirmed my beliefs. But you are right man that thing is something else. You'll be glad you have it someday. A short story; 3weeks ago hauling boat to river going out hwy 15 the turbo to intercooler hose tore(unbeknownest to me) the truck ran bad (like i'm selling this thing when i get home bad) Well to make a long story short i listened to that damn fan clutch for the entire drive there and back. As it turns out the thing is worth it's wait in gold even though it noisy as [censored]. beacsue the turbo hose was torn almost in half. thus creating a ton of under hood temperature.
