Passing the smog test

Hey all.

I've got an 06 6.0 with the full Banks kit and an S&B intake. All on the arb "products in progress" list

Duse was gonna fail me until I was able to show him the letter from CARB about the exemptions, then the ARB website showing the list, then the actual list. So when you go to get smogged be prepared.

He actually did no smoke test whatsoever, just a visual inspection.

While we were talking he told me the BAR guy was just there the day before and told him these products were not passable, though the website clearly states otherwise.

The state needs to start issuing the EO's and standardizing a real test. This poor guy had no idea. He did commend me for knowing as much as I did about the situation and having all that info available on the old Iphone.

Yep, allot of confusion seems to be occuring as a result. Definitely pays to have a smart phone handy for these stuations.

Does anyone know if the AFE stage 1 (almost stock looking) air intake is smog legal and if so where can I find the proof of that being so. Got a smog coming up soon and need to start doing some homework. Thanks.

Thumperer, call AFE. They were very helpful and sent me the CARB sticker for my intake which is a stage one also for my 02. They will get you the info you need.

what about a stage 2?
