    New F350 Turbo cool down

After owning a 2001 F350 with a egt gauge I am having difficulty fiquiring when to shut down my new 2011 F350 Powerstroke after running on the freeway for awhile. I am using oil temp and shutting down when it goes down to 200. It normally runs from 203 up to 210 on a hill or long run. These are non towing numbers. To get back to 200 it usually takes about five minutes. Any ideas? Awesome truck. Got 16.7 MPG for the first 500 mile trip going up North to break in the motor. Ran it at many different levels and RPM's all the way to Gilroy from SOCAL. Great mileage for break in. Can't wait to see what it will get when I get some miles on it. Thanks again Bobby. What a great way to purchase a truck. Bobby is the true proffesional. You have to be nuts to buy from anyone else. Can't wait to tow in another 500 miles or so.

I would just let it idle 30-45 seconds and shut it down after normal driving. If you are ruinning it hard give it 1:30 to 2:00. FYI I have no expierence with the new trucks but most people don't even know to let them idle a little before shutting them off.
