    what's next?

I am looking to find out what the next performance enhancement for my truck should be. I would like to keep this truck for a long time, so dependability is important to me.

My truck is a 1999.5 7.3L PSD 4X4 SWD Crew Cab Long Bed

So far, I have the following:

    -JW Trans
    -DP Tuner (not live tuned)
    -AIS Powercore Intake w/ Zoodad
    -Banks 4" exhaust
    -Garrett GTP38R Turbo w/ 1.00" outlet and
    -Big Head waste gate actuator

What do you guys think my max HP/Torque estimation is currently, with what I have now. Assuming I set the DP Tuner to the 120 race setting (my current max)?

I think my injectors are still good, but when they go, what is a reliable moderate choice? I don't want to be bending any rods or causing major reliability issues.

Matt at OC Diesel suggested the Snow water/meth Stage III to get even cooler EGT's and some more power. Any thoughts or experiences, good or bad? It sounds good for towing my 30' toy hauler.

    Thanks for your input

If you want to wake it up put an adrenaline pump on it. Check my sig. That pump made a world of difference. For less than $600 it's worth every penny. And Bob & Sheryl are wonderful people. You won't regret it ever.

I pull a 13K lb toyhauler in the mtns here in Az in the temps we have and that pump cleaned up the smoke. I also gained some (3-5) mph on the 6% pulls. I don't like the water/meth. If you put that on make sure you instal an oil temp guage. Just keeping egt's in check is not enough. On hard wot runs with no trailer I can get oil temps about 207+ with egt's around 1250-1300. Imagine towing the trailer on 6%. I've also heard horror stories. A guy parked his truck on an incline and the selinoid stuck and while parked it siphoned and filled a cyl and hydrolocked it. I know a lot of people run it without problems, I have a few friends that do. Myself, I'm not risking a $10K engine on it. Sorry for the long post I got carried away. Good luck.

    Thumbs up

Thanks for the info. I appreciate it. I will definitely look into the adrenaline pump.

Best bang for your buck. At wot mine peaks @ 3250 and maintains 3000-3100 psi in my 60T tune. Also Joey @ Terminator Eng mods the 17* pump. I personally don't know anyone running it or how it performs.

There are a bunch of modded 17* pumps out there and if you send him a pump, its somewhere in the neighborhood of $100 bucks to mod it. The other option is the T1. Joey is finally getting close to the production stages and it is showing great promise. The T1 should be released by January. If you want to read more on the modded 17* or the T1, head over to FordDieselPower.com. Joey is a regular poster over there. If you ever plan to step up to B-Codes for the 500hp and bigger range, then you'll want a set of Terminator Dual Pumps. I'm running the dual setup and with stock sticks and a stock turbo and love it.

I like the sound of more towing power, but I have reservations about having a rough idle after install of a new adrenaline pump. I've heard about this issue from a lot more than one person. That would really bug the crap out of me. Any info on this issue??

I think the rough idle is more af a tuning issue than the pump. Mine idled rough before and after the pump change. Then swapped pcm's, got new tunes and the idle is way better.
