    pyro gauge

just put in a new pyro gauge and it was working fine.now it won't read over 200 degrees no matter what i do.just wondering if it is the temp probe?that is what i think as the gauge only reads what it is sent for a temp.any info would be great.it is a autometer gauge.

I installed new DiPricol gauges a while back and the EGT gauge would run all the way to max when I turned the ignition on. Since I installed all of the gauges myself and I am not a mechanic I thought for sure it was me. It turned out to be a defective gauge.

Yea I would check you power and ground connection. If you used some of those quick splices they don't make good contact at times.

Have you checked power at the connector that plugs into the back of the gauge with either a meter or test light?
