i think im having problems with fuel pump

today i did my oil change and i also changed my fuel filters, and when i turned the truck on and drove off about one block the truck just shut off. im not getting fuel to the top filter i took of the bottom filter again and it was full of fuel, when i take the top filter off no fuel. i checked the caps and o rings and everything looks goo no check engine light or anything it just wont sart. i tried starting untill batteries died and nothing, the only way it started for a bit was with starting fluid but then it turned off. is their a way of bleading the lines? or is their anything i should check for? thanks

p.s this is a 2004 f250 6.0 with afe intake and sct tuner with street toon by inovative i already whent back to stock and still nothing.

Can you hear the pump running when you turn on the key?

yes fuel pump turns on. i also took of the top filter and turned the key on to c if i saw fuel pumping or air bubbles, but nothing happened . when i took of the bottom filter the first time the old filter looked like it was falling apart i don't know if that maybe clogged the line. has this ever happened?

I"m not using OEM filters. i figured out the problem,:peace: the old filter was falling apart and the bottom of it staid inside the filter housing. thanks for your replies!! I'm using NAPA filter by the way. I guess im going to start using OEM filter from now on.

    Glad you found the problem.

Good idea on the filters...it just doesn't pay to use anything other than OEM
