turbo over boosting blowing of hose clamps to intercooler..

Well i was on the way to pismo and once again my trusty truck left me stranded on the side of the road once again!!!!!!! The T-bolt hose clamp that attaches the turbo to the intercooler keeps blowing off and i had to keep on putting a new one back on every time until i got home. 2 days later the truck has poped a ---p0299 turbo/supercharger underboost--- truck has only been out of the shop for 4 days and once again i have to take it back and pay 100 bucks. GRRRRR everytime i take it in a week or so later something else happens no offense to sunrise but it makes me wonder???

P0299 can also mean overboost....sounds like your turbo's vanes are sticking and it's creating too much boost which is causing the CAC tube to blow off.

The turbo is included in the 5/100k emissions warranty, so there should be no charge for cleaning or replacing it.

As I recently discovered a PO299 can be caused by a bad EGR valve. The over boosting caused my intercooler to begin failing. Rancho Ford in Temecula replaced the EGR valve, intercooler and cleaned the turbo. This occurred at 67,000 miles. I love my 2006 King Ranch, but it sure is high maintenance.
