Daily driver, but want more power...

Oh, and I'm not exactly wealthy. What I have as my daily is a 97 cc dually 2x4. It is a great truck with 190k on it. It is currently straight piped , has a K&N, and I just recently shimmed the regulator. It runs good, but I am a little greedy. I've heard of IDM mods, but I can't afford to screw it up until I have a spare. I think that's why I am leaning towards a chip. I don't need a smoking rocket, but I am not against it either. I am new to this stuff, so I am after info or ideas. I don't tow with it much, but it has towed my 5th wheel before (@19,000lbs!) and various equipment trailers. It's my daily hotrod with a ladder rack. :flag:

There are quite a few chioces as far as chips go. I have ran a lot of different chips from different tuners and like Diesel Innovations and DP Tuner best.

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said:
"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in... And how many want out." Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
    1. Jesus Christ
    2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

I looked at the DP F5 online tonight. It looks like a pretty good idea. I could just have a couple tunes on it for towing, an a couple to bobtail and still have room to add bigger programs as I modify the truck. Some of these things are still very new to me. I had an Edge box on my 6L, and that was about as advanced as I got. Nice to see you can run multiple tunes, and change them. Live and learn, right?
