Some folks have both pre-turbo and post-turbo pyro's, but most just install one pre-turbo in the bottom of the exhaust manifold.

i have both pre and post turbo. Honestly just the pre turbo is good enough. The only use i can think of post turbo is for shut down temps. I notice about a 200 degree difference between the two readings which i believe is normal. The pre turbo will be a more accurate gauge of temps, since the post turbo doesnt go up or down as quickly.

thanx for the info guys so it needs to go pre turbo in the bottom of the manifold how close will it need to be to the turbo or would that not matter and that goes after all the left and right bank exhaust has already come together :o

If you get under your truck on the driver side right behind the front tire. Slide under and look up and you will see a nice large opening where you can get a drill up to the manifold. You will be able to and tap it very easily from there.

When tapping for the EGT probe, do I need to take off the manifold? I am worried about metal shavings getting into the system. Any tips?

No, you don't need to take off the manifold. I've heard of people drilling and tapping then using a magnet, but I just greased the bit when it got close and went slow and then greased the tap and kept taking it out to remove chips and re-grease.
