    Help - South OC Members

I need to get some warranty work (Ford Ext bumper to bumper Warranty) done on my 2005 F-250 that I just purchased. It has a 7inch lift and 37's. I want to make sure I take it to a cool service writer that isn’t going to void my warranty for the lift. Any referral at a local ford dealer, I’m in Mission Viejo?

Whats the problem your having? If it has nothing to do with the lift, then it shouldnt matter.

I know Sunrise should be pretty cool with it, but they are in Fontana.

You might want to contact Bud @ OC diesel shop in Mission Viejo. He used to work for a dealership and should be able to steer you in the right direction to a dealer near there.

Exahust is making a humming sound. It looks like it is a little loose, if i give it a little pressue with my foot the sound goes away. . I don't want them to blame it on the vibration from the lift.

I dont know how they could attribute the exhaust sound to a lift.

I would think it would be turbo/exhaust issue and nothing to do with a lift kit. If you want to wait, you can always bring it to sunrise for the socaps annual meet at sunrise in march, and have the guys look at it then. If not check with Bud and see if he recommends a dealership nearby.

I had the same issue after I installed my T-back exhaust. Check where the exhaust down pipe takes a turn and goes towards the back of the truck The exhaust runs over the cross-member right after the bend, and it could be touching the bolts that hold the cross-member in. Acceleration did cause mine to pick the exhaust up just a bit, and the sound would go away. Did some re-aligning on the exhaust, and no issues since. Hope this helps.

Ford Fleet Center in RSM. Talk to Joey or Matt. Both cool guys. Tell them you know Adam from Mountjoy. After reading about your issue my sisters truck had the same issue.

Bud is a good call..I've talked with him a couple of times and he's always been helpful, and I will take my truck to him (when the wallet permits). Guess I keep thinking of him as an engine guy, forgot about all the other services.

we generally check the trucks out before they go to the dealer to make sure your concerns are corrected the first time and set you up with a mod friendly dealer!
