    How much is your registration?

With the increase in registration costs that have hit all California automobile owners (Thanks Gov. Schwarzenegger), I'd like to know how much you are now expected to pay the CA DMV for your registration renewal.

A friend of mind just informed me this morning that his sister-in-law got a registration renewal in the mail for her '09 F-350 that was in the $1200 range. She immediately had the truck registered in her father's name in Texas and the registration went down to the $50 range.

    My '05 Excursion renewal in 2009 was ~$275, now in 2010 it's $325.
    My '07 Mercedes E63 renewal in 2009 was $610, now in 2010 it's $845.

List what you're expecting to pay this year, and if you have last years figures please include those. Vehicle description as well please. Thanks!

    Mine was $376 this year. A 02 F250 2wd CC/SB 8,800 GVWR. The 05 and up F250's are 10,000 GVWR which cost more.

lets see... my truck (2003 250) before i sold it i was paying about 520.. but i got the renewal a couple of weeks before i sold it so i didnt pay the new one which was in the high 700's

08 F150 was in the 400's and this year i paid almost 600.. but... i was late less than 30 days cause i couldnt find it and they charged me 50% penalty so i really paid almost 900

    fun times

Your GVWR is 8,800. Compared to the 05+ F250's are 10,000 GVWR. My acutal registration was $56 but with the licence fee, weight fee (GVWR), and county fee it cam to $376. My weight fee was the biggest cost right at $204. It's all written down on the renewal notice. But what really gets me is years ago I was able to register my Honda XR50 minibike for $15 now its $52.

True, but why is my fee only 317 this year, and yours was 376?

And then raul had a short bed, but his was almost double mine for this year... what am i missing? You'd figure with all the oil i put on california roads, id be charged a clean up fee...

I think thats were the county fee comes into play. I'm Orange County and your in Pasadena but Raul is over in Northridge.

I just checked and i paid 300 last year. I also had the truck registered in Hollywood 2 years ago when i first got it and it was in the high $200's then. If its county fees, then it wouldnt matther if its pasadena, hollywood or northridge as its all los angeles county no?
