Angry Frustrated Just Need To Vent!!!

So I take my F-550 to my local dealer here in Cali for a hard start/no start condition after the truck hits normal operating temps. Even pointed out/mentioned the TSB's on this condition pointing towards the HP Oil Pump just in case. After 2.5 and pushing 3 days they still have NO CLUE as to what the problem is???? WTH??? 2 1/2 days?? Really??? I understand the complexities of the 6.0 and the labor involved in getting to the HP Oil Pump but that is for the repair of not the diagnosis. I made it real clear and have continually with phone calls since Last Thursday that the truck is my bread and butter and costs me between 1,000 to 1,500 for each and everyday that the truck is down but I get the feeling they don't really give a *hit!!!

Gotta go call them again, thanks for listening!!!! lol

That ain't nothing. I've been without my 6.0 for 7 weeks at one time just to get a new PCM that didn't fix anything.

If you're losing that kind of money, I'd take to Bud's shop in Mission Viejo since you live fairly close. Matt is one of their mechanic's and is a member here as well. If anything, PM Matt or call Bud @ his shop and let him know what's happening. Matt's screen name is: Matt@OCDieselshop or call them @ (949) 297-8477.

Matt and Bud are very helpful with the free info, forget about the dealers. I had a simple warranty issue that turn out bad with Capo Ford a few weeks ago.... hope it all works out for you.

Cool Got the work horse back finally!!!!

Got it back from the dealer a few hours ago and happy to say they seem to have found and fixed the problems. Replaced all the Injector O rings as well as a couple of the fittings in the HP Oil system that weren't seating correctly. I did get a free oil and filter change from them so I suppose that makes up for days it took to repair the issues......2 1/2 days to diagnose and 1/2 day to repair.......thinkin maybe the first day maybe more they just past the warranty work truck by to address them cash paying customers. Who know's.....

I do appreciate the info on OC Diesel and the guys over there, they sound like a great group of guys as well as being top notch mechanics. I have a SCT Xcal II that I removed from my 06 Mustang that I'm looking to have tunes done for my F-550 so I'll be getting them on the line soon, assuming they deal with the tuners. My trucks just a work truck, always loaded down but a little more pep in her step along with added mpg's is always a good thing.....

Hope ev1 has a Wonderful Christmas!!

I thought dealerships make money off of warranty work. They get the money from ford. The 6.0 should be a money pit for Ford with so many warranty claims.

Glad your truck is up and running again. just an FYI since you use your truck for your income..... Sunrise Ford in Fontana will figure out what is wrong with your truck in 1 day so you can get it on the road faster. They have the best dealership mechanics around.

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said:
"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in... And how many want out." Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
    1. Jesus Christ
    2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

The dealer makes the money from warranty work. FoMoCo looses money on warranty work because they are the onle who pay the dealer. Warrranty work is undesired work because the pay to the mechanic is lousy but I have heard a few people say if it wasn't for the 6.0 they probably wouldn't have a job.

Ya, the dealership I take my truck (6 months ago was trucks) to is the same dealer I purchase them from which is Ken Grody Ford here in Buena Park. Great group of guys seem knowledgeable but just seems they are so backed up in there service dept. My fleet guy there told me they have around 10 more diesel mechanics there bringing in from other dealerships due to the volume of diesel repairs so hopefully that will expedite my service repairs....We'll see!!! lol

Wishing all a Very Safe and Happy Christmas.

God Bless Our Troops their families and the rest of us that reap the benefits of having them on the lines!!!
