Question I need your thoughts on Shackle Lifts

I got myself a set of 17" rims with some 37" tires on them this weekend & I'm thinking since I have the tires already & do need some better tires than the 315's that I have on there now.

    Why not just use them.
I cant afford to buy a new set of tires right now.
Heck the ones on there now were used when I bought them for $120.00

I'd swap them onto the rims being I know they clear, but those are 16" & the new rims are 17"

& so I wanna lift my rig the cheapest way I can & I'm figuring a shackle lift might be the way to do it?

Now at this point I'm thinking about buying the ORU front Shackle reversal kit that gives you about a 2 or 3" lift & simply matching the rear to level it out & that should clear the 37" tires & give me a better ride..

I wouldnt count on clearing 37's with that setup. I had the sky manufacturing kit on my 97 with 16x10's and 35's and they rubbed with the sd springs... Sky makes the 3 inch and 5 inch kit.

Heck mine clears the 35's with no issues right now after a simple front bumper trim..

But mines a Centurion vs a Pick 'em up truck & maybe that makes a difference?
