New Project! 4 seater sand rail

Well, I finally picked up a 4 seater frame yesterday, Its a project but oh well. Not sure on who built this frame, but its the closest thing I can get to a Chenowth explorer frame.


I wanted to swap all my stuff out of my 2 seater, but this one is going to take some work since it is set up with 10" over front beam and rear.
My dilemma is my toy hauler door is 84" wide, so I'm thinking I might be able to get away with 6" over front beam and a stock width rear torsion housing with some 3X3 arms. Its going to deff be a tight fit. Anyone of you sandrail junkies have any advice?

I plan on setting it up like this frame

with an x brace in the rear, b pillar, and front dash bar

Yup, Darren is my good friend and neighbor. Unfortunately, Kenny does not work there anymore. He hasn't for a while. Darren and the gang helped to build my bug in my signature.

Off topic question, but whats the best way to get rid of that rust on the tubing? Ive heard of Por15? anything else?

Not sure but......
Im thinkin about paying my baby brother 50 bucks to go 2 town on it with 80 grit sand paper.

the rust actually isnt all that bad, I used some wd40 and coarse steel wool on the old font beam and it cleaned up without any effort. After all the fab work is complete, eventually gonna have to do it right and have it media blasted and powdercoated.

maybe I can use some Jasco
