    Dyno

    OK I have a dyno for the event it is NOT Sunrise Ford's dyno.
    We have to bring in a dyno and let me tell you this is a hard thing to come up with reasonable pricing.

    These are the guys that were at 4 Wheel Parts in Temecula Oct 11 2008 . Some of the people that dynoed there trucks weren't to happy with their results and how the dyno was run. I have been in contact with Ron the owner and operator of the dyno and got him in contact with David Dunbar. For those of you who do not know David Dunbar he is the dyno god and he knows diesels on the dyno. David is going to give Ron a few pointers on the setup and running of our trucks on the dyno.

    That is the good news and now the other news

    We will be charging more for a dyno run because dyno's aren't free outside Sunrise Ford. So we will have to charge $40.00 a truck to get on the rollers and will need at least 21.25 trucks to run. I hope that there are enough members who would like to run and have some fun putting there truck on the rollers. To see what it costs to run one of these things look here :

    Single (1) pass run, with single report
    $50.00**

    Tool-less triple pass, with 3 reports
    $75.00**

    Before and after tests, with 2 reports
    $100.00**

    Hourly sessions, unlimited runs/reports
    $175.00**

    Daily rental, unlimited runs/reports
    $1500.00**

    Weekend rental, unlimited runs/reports
    $2500.00**

    You will get 2 pulls for your $40.00 with reports and each additional pull is $10.00 with a report. Sign up for the dyno will be first come first to run , but if you plan on running please put up a post here so I can get a general idea of the turnout we will have.

    This is awesome news Gene. The dyno runs are always the highlight of the event and I am sure we will have no problems getting trucks to run. The prices set are well worth it for anyone. Even if your truck is not modified heavily, this is a great way to get some real HP figures on your trucks.

    I will wait till the day of. No real need to run mine since I have timeslips to tell me that. If we run short on trucks though and you need some people to chip in and help cover the cost, just let me know and I'll throw my beast on there.
