2001 7.3 Excursion Upgrades, Any Suggestions:

I wish I could have been there for the live tuning, but duty calls. I'm currently in Iraq but when I get home, I'm looking to do some work to my Excursion. Currently have the Banks Stinger plus System, and a John Wood built Tranny ( "just love my tranny"). Any suggestions? I do plan to upgrade the intercooler, and thinking about the Garrett Powermax Turbo. Open to suggestions, Semper Fi!

Had a great time yesterday, thank you John for opening up your shop to us! Had fun watching the dyno and talking it up with everyone. Breakfast burritos in the morning (Thanks Jody!), and of course the endless tacos, quesadillas, and drinks was awesome and satisfied my cravings. It was good seeing everyone. I hope Ron was able to get his rig up and running again.

Thanks for hosting such a great shin dig. No kidding about the food, that was excellent. Met a lot of really cool people too. Nice to get out and hang out with a few mechanically inclined folks.

Didn't get home until around 5 am (headed out about 12:30 and had to take it easy through the fog for the first leg), but got my tunes all squared away.

Pretty sure I'll catch hell for this, but I'm thrilled about the "For the Wife" tune Jodi put together for me. Great fuel economy on the way home (I'll have to fill up again to have a number), no problems with traction, still fast enough to be fun on the freeway, not enough smoke to draw attention and absolutely perfect road manners. (so I don't have to worry when the wife has the truck... not to mention if she gets a little enthusiastic and forgets to watch EGT's)

Thanks again to all the great folks I got to meet, especially the guys who stayed late. Hope you guys had a ball out in the desert.

So it sounds like it was a great turn out. I had a blast last year, and wish I could have swung it again this year, but it wasn't in the cards. How busy was the dyno? Anybody got numbers to post?

Big thanks to John for hosting the event and letting me use your shop to get my truck running again. I wish I could have spent more time hanging out and socializing with everyone instead of wrenching, but I'm glad it’s running again. I made it home today so all is good with the truck. Thank you Jeff and Jimmy for your help in wrenching and everyone for your support on getting my truck running.

Glad you got it up and running. So did that little piece end up in the oil pan?

Don't know could not find it, maybe that's what went through the low side pump gears. It's MIA hopefully it stay's that way.
