Over the T-Day week my family and I were in Glamis, as we have been since we started going out there 7 or 8 years ago. On Thursday my son and I drove up to the Rangers Station to meet my sister to have her follow us back to our camp on pad 4. Out of the blue my 9 year old son made a comment to me about how many Sunrise Ford plate frames he seen driving down Gecko. Then he asked "Why don't you have a bbq like Funco does for Sunrise Ford customers?". I didn't think it would be possible as it's out of our region, but I went to the owners anyway and asked and was told to set it up. Then I started thinking. Why make it for Sunrise Ford customers ONLY? What better way to get NON-Sunrise Ford owners to come see what we're all about regardless of what they drive or where they bought from?
With that said, I am still working out the details, but I wanted to at least start getting the word out. With the help of Tim aka GlamisPilot, Sunrise Ford will be hosting a Dune Clean-Up Event. As of right now, we have chosen the 1st weekend of April. I know it might be a little warm, but want to be able to take a few of the all new 2011 Ford Super Duties out there for display.
Sunrise Ford will provide the food and drinks (non-alcholic of course ). There will be a catch though, you'll need a "meal ticket". To get a meal ticket you will need to bring a bag of trash. The bags will also be provided and will cost $5 each, just kidding.
I am hoping this goes well and that we can make it an annual deal. If you would like to assist in making this happen your thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for a great year and I hope to be able to put some "screen names" to faces out there in April.
