It was a great day of racin and only wish I'd taken 1st. Not sure what was going on, but everything was workin right on Saturday. I was cutting the best lights I've ever had and the truck was running very consistently. I ended up breaking out by 0.04 in the last round after sitting for an hour while it rained and everything cooled down. The guy in the other lane had his tranny hang up in 2nd gear so I thoughf he had spun at the line and was running slow so I didn't hit the brakes as hard as I should have. Just happy that I didn't beat myself at the lights.
I did have one red light, but it was a -0.0004 and it was in time trials. Definitely the closest I've ever been to a perfect light, most were 0.01XX lights with one 0.0444 and one 0.0555.
Thanks to those who came out. This years event was HUGE! CT performance broke during eliminations and Max'd out made some hot 9.xx runs! Sean Ellerton went 10.60 in his crew cab long bed 6.0! Banks also made a few passes in the rail....were having some issues with the launches but still had a couple 7.60 runs.
They had people lined up for a couple miles trying to get into the track and they ran out of parking inside the track. Diesel Drag racing has found it's home on the West coast and will continue to grow! Hope to see more of you out there next year!
