Question Question about Front End Jacking points F-550 Super Duty??

Just a quick one here.....Is it safe and or advisable to jack the front end up at the center point of the mono tube/axle so that one gets both wheels off the ground? I don't want to screw up the front end doing my brakes but want to pull both tires at once without jacking each side individually.

    Thanks in advance

    Les

Don't know the answer to your question, I've often wondered the same thing!

That said, I've put aside that question and gone ahead and done just that many times to my 350. Haven't had any problems yet...

Unless I hear something to the contrary from a reliable source, I personally feel it is safe to do on my own truck and will continue to do so :). Take what you will from that and good luck.

I would not jack the center of the mono tube on a F450-550 truck it was not designed for that. The F350 does not have a mono tube

thanks for the input guys. I decided just cause I have a 20 ton jack and CAN Jack the whole front or rear at once doesn't mean I should so I kept it safe and did one side at a time, it cost me about 10 minutes or so of my life but I'll get over it!!! lol

    thanks,

    Les

Oops... missed the part where it said mono tube, I was assuming its a 4x4. Thanks for clarifying that Gene!

not what I'd say qualifies as a sexy beast, more along the lines of a well kept work horse but I'll see what I can do about posting some pics.
