In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said:
"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in... And how many want out." Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
1. Jesus Christ
2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.
Well, Gene thought it would be fun to throw the competition off our trail a little.Originally Posted by Samuel1941

I spoke to Gene again today. (He's in Iowa with family for the 4th of July) We are probably done using nitrous. The truck doesn't need it anymore.
On a side note, Gene spoke to the Dodge boys and found out they use the nitrous in a completely different way. Instead of injecting it into the intake, they inject it into the turbo strictly to light it off. They use a button on the line that injects the nitrous as long as they have their finger on it. As soon as they let up on the button, the nitrous valve closes. So they really aren't using it as fuel in the cumbustion chamber, but simply as a way to spool the turbo on the starting line.
Anyway, I think Gene will find a way to get a 10 second run. Stay tuned.

I spoke to Gene yesterday and got an update on the condition of the motor. The nitrous backfire only bent 3 pushrods. Whew. Before he took the valve covers off Gene thought a valve or 2 was bent. Anyhow, he ran into an old friend in Iowa who happened to have a blown 6.0 laying around. He let Gene have 3 pushrods for free! The motor is back together and purring like a kitten again.
Gene's on his way to my place in Kansas and I'll be seeing him and the truck tomorrow.
More to follow.
