    Re: Guns and Diesels

So basically San Francisco is 58% idiots. How can anyone, let alone 58% of the people, not want to be able to protect themselves in there own homes. Do they really think this is even going to make a dent in the number of guns that the criminals have. All it does it make the honest people more vunerable. So now anyone that wnats to keep their gun has to rent a storage locker or safety deposit box in another city so they can show it's not being kept in their home. How can a state or city overule the constitution? Man, things are getting out of hand.
I'm not an NRA fanantic by any means, but it's things like this that show how much we need them around.

    Re: Guns and Diesels

I'll bring mine over and we can clean them together

I'll feel real good, when somebody breaks into my house with a gun, and my whole family gets killed because I had to turn mine in.

All that stupid law is doing is taking away guns from the good, honest hard working people, and giving the bad people easier access to our homes and families.

I mean lets just think about this, if I was a crook would I turn in my gun because the law said so. uummm no.

If I was a crook and was deciding on wich house to break into, and I knew wich owner had a 9mm and wouldn't hesitate to put all 11 of it's little friends in my a$$.

I think I would definately opt to go break into the other owners house. But hey that's just me!

Also, as a parent it is my sole responsibility to keep my firearm where my children can not access it. I accept that responsibility, the people that leave there guns where there children can get them, is unfortuneate, and tragic. But it is the parents fault. It's a great responsibility and not to be taken lightly.
I say this because I know this is the biggest part of the law makers reasoning for banning firearms, to protect our children. But again this IS the parents responsibility.

    Okay I'm done.
Big thanks to Bud and Matt for getting me back on the road!

    Re: Guns and Diesels

I think it is a load of crap. I am sure that most criminals out there are not using weapons of their own "legal" purchase, but rather stolen or "illegally" purchased ones. That being said, the "stolen" ones were probably from those law abiding citizens who did not properly lock or store their "legally" purchased weapons.
As Matt said, they should be held accountable, not the people that properly take care, store, and maintain their weapons.

I can't believe this. Hopefully SF got enough cops for cover the every street corner 24/7. If my city passed this STUPID law, I'll packup my guns and move away faster than a bullet.
