I am starting to smell collant at times, not always, but I don't see any leaks. I replaced both radiator hoses and don't see and leakage from around the water pump. I now have 94,000 miles on the motor which is running better than ever. I went by the dealer and was told the water pump is covered with the motor up to 100,000. Does that sound right or does the service guy not know what he is talking about? Any ideas on the collant smell would be appreciated.

Thanks, Clark

Check the weep hole on the water pump and look real close and see if there any white crusty stuff forming around it http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/shrug.gif

If there is it is evaporating before it gets out.

If you're smelling it in the cab, check the heater core.

If it's under the hood, the weep hole (beneath wp pulley)
