So Steve, Brian, and Steve's brother in law came by to help me install the cover 1/1/04! Only, Steve is the only one that showed up on time, so he and I did the install together http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/smile.gif (However, Brian and Steve's_brother_in_law did show up soon after to watch LOTR:Fellowship and LOTR:Towers http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/laugh.gif) A good time was had by ALL (Oh yeah... Brian's M5 is silly FAST!!!!!!) http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/burnout.gif http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/burnout.gif http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/burnout.gif http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/burnout.gif http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/burnout.gif http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/burnout.gif http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/burnout.gif http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/burnout.gif

It was very easy, except for a few shipping issues that caused some problems with the install... Iím currently in the process of working those out.

The cover looks GREAT!!! Check out My Gallery (http://www.socaps.com/photopost/showgallery.php/cat/500/ppuser/165) for the pics...

You can touch, feel, climb on, and drool over it at RBP http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/tongue.gif

Man, that looks like pure quality. How do you like the black power coat? What do you think would look better on a white truck, the aluminum finish or the black power coat. Right now I have the aluminum diamond tool box and don't mind the aluminum look. Only wondering if it would be too bright over the entire bed.

So far I really like yours. Can't wait for next meeting.

That looks solid and just heavy enough to smooth out the stiff ride of the rear in a 3/4 ton truck.

Question? Can you get out from the inside if you find yourself locked under it? I don't know why this would happen, but I'm sure it would to me knowing my friends.

Brian,
Yes, your timing was impeccable! Thanks again for the ride and drive http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/laugh.gif

Pit,
I paid $1400 - though it might be a little more I got a wee little discount for being the first on the west coast http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/smile.gif

That is one heavy duty cover. Unfortunatly we could not say the same for the shipping crate. http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/mad.gif http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/tonofbricks.gif

I called Diamonback today with the intention of ordering a bed cover. Ethan suggested I wait because you were arranging a vendor to be at our next meeting and I should order from him. So.......... being patient is not one of my best qualties........ but, he thought there might be some advantage because of shipping costs.

Yes, if we can convince RBP to cary the diamondback line, it will save you on shipping... You can wait a few weeks cant ya? http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/smile.gif It will be worth it!! http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/grin.gif

I can wait if you are sure it will save the shipping. Oh yea, how 'bout sales tax. Am I right there is no tax if purchased direct?

Koby's diamonback bed cover is just like cat nip to me....... so to scratch the itch, I ordered one today. It will be the aluminum color (not powder coated) and naturally for the long bed.

They think they will have a better crate system for shipping in about one week, so, after that they will ship to a warehouse where I will pick it up...

Now for the waiting game.
