View Full Version : Dyno at Turbonetics

We got to play a little on the dyno and had some pretty good numbers. We thought the numbers were a little low at first till we found out later that I had medium tune in the truck. We did a 509 on #2 with 65 lbs of boost. That is right 65 lbs. of boost out of our Turbonetics Super T 72 turbo. I think we are finally on the right track to making Stroked Lightning the Quickest Powerstroke on the planet. Now for a little more fuel and we can tune this truck to run the number we have been looking for.

Hi Gene, I noted that you had a fluid power balancer installed on your engine shot,(with the cab off). Would you recommend this item for a basically street tuned 2005 6.0 PSD or is it not worth the $$ or work unless you are making serious power?

Thanks for your reply,

Hans :)

The Fluid Damper works great on even a stock truck it will idle and run smoother and quieter, a great upgrade for anyone.

A fluid damper whats this? and how much $ ?

I,ve just upgraded my trailer and it gets a little heavy up hill to say the least, I need more Tourqe! ;) .
I don't know how these stock trucks pull, and why dealers are so supprised and give us a hard time when we modify  .

The fluidamper is a new balancer for the crankshaft it makes the truck idle smoother and quieter.

Thanks is there any advantage to the engines life span/power or is it only the sound/noise quality.

They say less vibration means longer life
