My Pyro sencer is tapped in at the rear of my driver side ex manifold. Is this where most people are tapping and is the defuel temp still at 1250 or can I run a little hotter being that it is close to the ex port. The reason Im asking is I have seen sencers pre and post turbo , however my truck seems to hit the 1250 egt very fast and starts to defuel just when I need the power. Im just curios if any body else is tapped in at the same spot and what thier temps are running.

Thanks For the help

I run at the same location, when I am pulling my 5er, I average about 900 degrees, when on a hill I get up to 1250-1300, But only for a short time, I back off the throttle to 1150-1200, till I top the grade. I have not had any probs as of yet.
When I come to a stop, I wait till it cools down to about 275, when towing, and 300 otherwise.

Yep that is a good location, that is where mine is too. Personally I like to back off when I hit 1200 and don't go higher, but I know a little more is safe. I have heard people doing 1400-1500 for like 30 second runs fairly often without problem.

Ragen, when your towing are you in over drive or do you pull in 3rd,and what temps do you hit when not pulling , on a grade

Thanks for the feed back

I do not use overdrive when towing, unless it is flatland, as far going up grades without a trailer, about 800-900, and that was with a tandem trailer with a buggy on it. 7% 4 miles, @ 65mph.
BTW, I have a standard. I think I am around 700-800 no trailer at all....been awhile since I went up a grade not towing. I mostly use PSD for towing only. Stays parked most of the time.

Thanks for the info on the pyro temps , I'm feeling a lot better know. Thats about where I am running on my pyro. My other tt was much lighter . Are new TT is much heavier,I had to air bag, program and exuast. I have not pulled it very much so I am not familiar with where I should be running as far as temps.

Thanks for the feed back

You sound like you have the same setup, so you should be good to go. EGT's is what to monitor most when towing the TT. And if it is doing great? Don't do any more mods cept intake. Feel free to e-mail if you have any other private questions.....Glad I could help out.....Johnboy

Thanks again for the feed back, I do have a K&N air cleaner, I just forget to mention it ( its been on since the truck was new) and I think Im ok on air since I am not blowing any black smoke.
