hey guys,

Have any of you changed your ball joints on your Dana 60's, is there any info or short cuts you could pass on?

Mike have you seen the post at TSD "front end popping" I think it was called? I'll see if I can dig it up.

I have a 4x4 with leaf springs so there is no sway bar. it is a rattle that doesn't happen on regular smooth bumps more so than road ripple from rough sections and potholes.

I did put a prybar to my balljoints last spring and could find anything obvious. it used to only make this noise when it was raining and got wet under the truck, but now it sounds like something is ready to come off.

Well guys, it wasn't all that painful. I searched around for replacement parts and came to find that Advanced Auto carried them and to my surprise, the ball joints were from Dana!! They also loaned me the tools for changing them out. Overall it wasnt too bad!!!
