I know this is a PSD site, but the roots of the PSD comes from my IDI. I finished putting in an open air intake and and turned up the fuel. After a road test the engine has more available power at a lower boost, lower EGT's, all the way up to 80 MPH. This really woke up the beast.

I like the old school stuff. Much simpler to work on. http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/smile.gif
Much harder to make fast, though.

I bet it was a ton of fun making room between the fire wall and block to fit the 3" down pipe!!

That was the easy part. Getting the turbo out and separating the Y pipe inlet was hard. ALOT of KROIL (http://www.kanolaboratories.com/) and sweat was needed. Getting the turbo housing bolts out was no fun either. 2 had to have the head ground off and then removed with a vise grip.

Sounds like waaaaay to much work. Wouldn't it be easier to buy a new truck http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/cool.gif http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/grin.gif

I can appreciate that. I just about did that with this one. I decided I needed to at least finish one project in my life. I purchased this truck 3 years ago from the Marine Corp. Was beat to hell and back but only had 53,000 miles on it. I've since lifted it 4" and have added the turbo. Body and paint are next with all new exterior parts, ie door handles, grill etc.
