I'm out of the loop on this one and was hoping you could all set me straight by doing a side by side comparison of the two.

I would love it if an informed individual or individuals could update the information below with these responses - Increase, Decrease, or N/A.

Propane

Wear on motor =

Propane

Boost =Increase
Horsepower =Increase up to 100 HP
Torque =increase
EGT =Increase
Fuel Economy =Increase
Wear on motor =Increase depending on usage
--------------------------
Water/Methanol

Boost =INCREASE
Horsepower =INCREASE
Torque =INCREASE
EGT =DECREASE 200 degrees!
Fuel Economy =N/A
Wear on motor = N/A

Note, this is just my experiences with the two as of date. This was on my own personal truck. Propane lasts longer and is safe in small amounts. Too high amounts and you can lose a headgasket and have seen some motors with some nasty wear on the rings. Again it's all how you run it.
The water methanol is sweet, and the bggest bang for the buck. I mean heck, you can get a gallon of windshield washer fluid for $.99 at most gas stations or parts stores. The downside is, it goes fast. You could easily drain a 10 gallon tank in no time flat http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/shocked.gif I didn't print any dyno sheets, I should have. Maybe the info is still on the computer but I gained like 90 ponies and EGTs dropped about 200 degrees! It was flat out awesome.

I'm waiting for my H2O kit to come in from DPS (http://www.dps-performance.com/), when it does and I get it hooked up I get you some real info! http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/cool.gif

Cool deal. I think I may make a system myself. Do a two stage based on boost.

There's a good thread over at TDS on this subject. It has part # too. Worth reading. Look for username 350camper.

Cool... I can't wait to do this mod. http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/smile.gif I can make the power but my temps kill it every time http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/frown.gif http://www.socaps.comimages/graemlins/frown.gif

You said you ordered a system, correct? Let me know how it goes. What was the cost? I've ordered my mister's and am actively developing a 2 stage switching system.

I have a PS2000 and a DPS H20 injection system (not installed YET) so I could answer all the questions if you wanna stop by and help me bolt them up!!!!!!! Scotty

I've been running without the H2O injection because the water pump is acting up. Since running without it I can tell you it makes a difference in power and the temps. Hopefully i can install it sometime soon.

Scotty, how is the new IP from DPS?

I really like the new IP and Injectors, but then again, my old ones were pretty shot, but I have the IP cranked and I cannot get the EGT's above 1250, it runs great, I think it has to do with the straight 4" pipe and the fuel system being so new. I am planning to do the Intercooler and propane and may add the H20 later on, but right now, I don't think I really need it. Scotty
