Oil leak.....4000 miles
Wondering if anyone else has had this problem I noticed oil spots on my driveway and low and behold there is an oil leak in the exact same place where my 6.0 leaked at 8k miles(Engine oil seal at the the trans), I hope this is not a sign of things to come, As my 6.0 was a major PIA......

i havent seen them leak at the rear main seal yet. i have heard some have a tiny drip right out of the front crank seal. i doubt you will have the same problems you did with the 6.0 .

Oil leak
I hope not, But in looking at the leak, this is at the bell housing bottom at the rear of engine, I suspect it's the rear main seal gotta take it in to get fixed along with my rear view camera it got water in it when it rained hard and now has severe glaucoma!

Some kind of rear cover gasket leaking at back of motor, Nice. Rear view camera water in it, Nice. New truck......hmmm. Me no happy.

Oil Leak
Yeah the time is always hard to come by, I wanted to take it Sunrise but I didn't have the time and took it to Colley Ford in Glendora since I drive by it when I take my daughter to and from school almost everyday, We'll see what happens.........not expecting to much from them since they've had the truck since Monday and say the leaking gasket will be fixed by tomorrow afternoon and then I'm sure I'll be waiting for rearview camera parts for a few days. I asked why they didn't look at the camera 1st since they would probably have to order some parts and by the time parts came the leak would have been fixed and I wouldn't have to be without my truck as long but they don't do things like that they said? What ever.

Oil leak and rear view camera-upate
Colley still has my truck since they ordered me a new rear handle that did not come with the rear view camera in it, Doh! Said they didn't even show a part number for a handle with a camera? So they had to find out what they needed to order and will possibly get it on Tuesday. I'm not worried, Heck they can keep it all month as long as they make the payment! Going to Sunrise next time for sure to avoid all this non-sense, I should have known :o

As long as you learn from your mistakes, it's okay.
Believe me I've been to one other Ford dealership (other than Sunrise) for service, only to test out their customer service. I wanted to try them because they were only about 5 miles from my place. After they had my Ex for several days for a simple check engine light and sensor replacement, I vowed never to go anywhere but Sunrise for service. Now I just make the ~60 mile drive out to Sunrise and enjoy the customer service I receive and I don't have to worry about the quality of work being done as I know it's top notch.

Well took truck to Sunrise and I get the news "Bed Plate" is leaking oil and the first time it leaked wasn't repaired correctly by Colley Ford. I am told the motor will have to be pulled which I'm miffed about since I bought this truck new to get away from the engine troubles of my 6.0. I am not a fan of International any more!

Piece of junk, i regret not waiting for the 2011. It's fixed (for now) let's see how long it last before it craps out again. I may be abandoning the Blue Oval soon because of the lack of quality of this "new" truck, we shall see. sorry for the rant it's just frustrating because i got rid of my 6.0 thinking i was avoiding these problems Then low and behold............................................ .............drip drip drip.

Ya Bummer-------There is only one reason to buy a Ford Truck and a diesel --- RELIABILITY. Forget about pretty. When you start to feel that your truck has lost reliability, it's tuff to deal with. Good luck, hopefully it will get better.

Well Ford CS reps have been good and have refunded me a months payment ad gave me a free Premium Maint Plan to ease my concerns, The truck has been great since Sunrise fixed it, but unfortunately I don't see myself keep this truck long term due to the reliabilty issues so early on, If it wasn't for the 0% financing I would have dumped it on a trade for something else. I'm waiting for my trade in value to be decent enough to dump it, Unless Ford buys it back for another leak. I should have waited for the Ford motor since it was International's Motor my issues have been with. We'll see, I 'll probably end up buying an older F250 7.3 or 7.3 Excursion. And spend my hard earned dollars on a Porsche 911 or BMW M5.
