Thread: changed the grille

Went from the stock lariat chrome joby to the black fx4...also painted the fender vents. The next step is either harley headlights or ill split them and do them myself and the powder coated bumpers. Followed shortly by amp steps, black wheels and my lift...im torn between carli 4.5" with 37s and a rize kit modified to 10.5" with 40s...thoughts and opinions are welcome

same thing i did!! i cut out the FX4 grll and put in the carriage works upper and lower as well... i didnt want to paint match over the chrome. looks great..are you gonna leave the grill gloss black? here's mine before and after:

i like the look of that carriage works grill! I am going to leave it gloss black and do the bumpers and headlights to match. I think it will look good with black wheels/bumpers/fender vents/grill...

Black grill looks good, now you just need to complete the look by doing those things you've noted here.

You asked for thoughts and opinons, I hope you don't mind my opinion somewhat differs.

I think the gloss black (in the superduty area around the grille and the fender vents) looks sorta just tacked on and doesn't flow with your color. I think color matching would look better. Just my taste.

Black bumper and Harley lights would make it flow better.

I asked for it ;) Yeah I agree but im hoping the changes that are on their way will make it blend better...if not there is always the paint option.

added the 3rd pic with the harley lights...starts to flow a bit better...if it stops raining ill go get the bumpers done soon.
