6.4 Question - Buddy needs help!

Friend of mine has an 08 4x4 with the 6.4. It has an S&B intake. Everything else is stock. He is experiencing lots of "turbo fart" when slowing down after the engine has completely warmed up. I drove his truck around the block and noticed no problems. I did a mild 4x4 boost and got the turbo to "fart", just to make sure that sound is what he was complaining about. He said yes, but alot, and for an extended duration with no accelerator use and mildly braking to a stop. Anyone have experience with this issue?

He thanks you in advance for any help.

yeah its very noticeable after you switch intakes. the stock baffled it so much. My afe is so loud...any boost over 10psi and back out of it quick and it barks at you...if he tunes it it gets worse at 45psi ;) I think im gonna by the BOV here soon...

yep...the bov is the only sure fix...it's just a lot of residual air trapped in the cac system..and the only place for it to go is back out thru the intake.

I figured as much. Just wanted some word from the people who drive the 6.4. He will be relieved that it's no issue. He still is complaining about the MPGs, but thats another topic. hehe
