    here's a burnout video that took out the intermediate shaft. burnout is 1/2 throttle, as soon as he pushes it to the floor..you can hear it free rev... it has already been replaced with a billett shaft.

    not exactly sure which load percentage is seen on the intermediate shaft. i know that there are issues with making the 3-5 shift happen to fast, some sort of binding effect that put's undue stress on it. i believe john wood said the 3-5 shift has the most going on of any of the shifts, so you actually need to soften it and slow it down to help parts live longer. john thinks the O/D planetary will be next. replacing this shaft with billet in a sense, only moves the problem to another weak factory piece. this is why the 4R100 is so nice!! there are pieces available for everything in it!!

    i bought a reg cab 6.4 swapped the built motor into it and the stock one into my green truck. gene is about to start working his magic in the next few weeks on the reg. cab 2wd ... green truck is mostly stock now.
