    Paint peeling off of intercooler

    Hi guys...

I have a 2008 F250 PSD. I was washing my truck the other day when I noticed the paint peeling off of my intercooler. I haven't seen any leaks, and my truck was just recently at Sunrise Ford for TSB 08B07; no issues were identified in terms of fluid level.

Has anyone else seen this peeling on their intercooler? Is it indicative of a impending failure of the intercooler?

Is there a TSB out for this?

    Anyone? :-)

It does not need to be removed if there are no defects on the CAC in this area.
    3. Use compressed air with a blow gun to remove loose paint from the CAC lower tank and side rails.
    4. Clean repair area surfaces with a suitable wax and grease remover or brake cleaner spray.
    5. Use 180 grit sandpaper to remove and featheredge remaining paint from tank and side rails. Be careful of cooling fin and tank joint areas.
    6. Clean the sanded areas again with wax and grease remover, and allow to dry.
    7. Mask surrounding areas to prevent overspray.
