Thread: Passed First Smog Test

YES!!! Passed first smog test on this truck first try. Tech barely looked at cat converter. Tech said he had never seen one of these before. Never saw a bit of smoke whether cold, hot or anytime. Truck has been sitting sitting since October 2011. Had trickle charger on all the time. Batteries are 40 months old. Started within 3 seconds of cranking. Block heater never been plugged in. (Installed block heater cord in 2007). Truck is completely stock except for coolant filter and zoodad mod. Abouit 35,000 miles and 1352 hours on engine. 2005 CC LB FX4 Purchased in New Mexico and drove it to Calif. in 2006. 49 state Federal Smog Certified.

Hey Sonny, I know exactly how you feel - I was more concerned about passing the smog test than I was about passing my cholesterol test this past year! :p I guess I must be a truck guy. . . .

Understandable!! When you get a cholesterol test, they don't put a probe up you "tail pipe". :o
