looking at 97 w/hard now no start problem

There is a truck for sale that has a no start issue. The owner said that it used to run fine but slowly got harder and harder to start now it wont start. It's an f250 xcab 4wd w/230k miles. He said he replaced some sensors(cps?), batteries starter and still no start. I"m an idi guy so i know nothing about these trucks. I can get it for 2500, so if it's not major i'll jump on it. What do you guys think.

it could be the low press oil pump. (not sending enough oil to hpop). can be change while engine still in truck or can be the check valve in the hpop can be fixed with engine in truck..

Battery cables could be the issue. Also the IPR could be shot. There are a few things it could be but at that price, I would buy it.

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America , he said:
"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in... And how many want out." Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:
    1. Jesus Christ
    2. The American G. I.
One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Okay I talked to the son today. They dasically do not know much about the history of the truck. He did say that it has 100k on new motor. Truck has 220k. Dad has a friend that buys at auctions and picked this up for son. Friend says that it was hard starting now will not start. The current owner has never gotten it to start. Son says he checked oil level in reservoir(hpop?) and still no start. I asked if wait to start light comes on and he said no. He sent me 2 pics from his phone and it looks decent. I don't know what parts are in the pass side. Any Guess? He is going to get the vin for me so i can do a carfax(anyone have an account) or go to a dealer to see if any warranty work has been done.Hope to here from him tomorrow.
