    Nice pics!

    Hey guys,

    Attachment 2182

Looks like I am going to cut one (CAC) into my E350. Have front end off already and moved the fresh air intake.

    Attachment 2181

I attached some pics of where I am thinking of putting my fresh air filter to keep access available to the PCM and allow me to run piping to an intercooler (CAC). Let me know if you have any thoughts like melt down or temp issues. I may have to find another way.

Looks like I could make one fit fairly easy if it is 20"x20"x2.5" or 12"x30"x2.5" with side shot inlet outlet. Being hopped up a bit would need larger correct? How do the CACs get sized?

    Any insight would be awesome.

    Thank you.

everything on the front of the truck needs to come off. I was able to leave the bumperAttachment 1850
I took off the lower condenser brackets and center bar, straightened them and removed the hood latch

carefully push back the bottom of the condenser bracket and re-assemble. Take care not to damage the AC refrigerant lines
    Attachment 1861
Now you can start fitting the cooler. double check all your cuts before diving in. Measure twice and cut once. Be careful

now you can start figuring out how to hold it in there. There are several ways. I went with what was easiest for me at the time and bent Z-bar 1 1/4" x 1/4" and tacked them to the frame. I found some old shock bushings for the top. Some guys make a top bracket. We put it high enough so we could attach it directly.

You should be able to start bolting the front parts back in now

This half of the job took me all day and then some Special thanks to Powerstoked for coming by to help me finish. This wasn't easy but it's doable. It takes a long time figuring out the disassembly of the headlights and such and I try to go real slow when cutting or I tend to hurt myself as you can see. If you're going to do this do your research and I hope this helps someone here.

    Hi Mattymx,

Did you ever get rid of the 7.3 CAC? I am trying to get on on my van, but can't figure out what is the best fit and best cooling capacity.

    Thanks.

    Hello Gene,

I am trying to figure out if I can do an IC on my E350. Any idea if the 99 spider will work on a E350 and if so where I might find one?

    Thank you.

I'am doing the same thing, have stock 6.0 intercooler. I will install the intercooler between the radiator and air condensor using 1'' square tubing. Banks has an intake thats included in there sidewinder kit, looks like a small two cylinder header. You will have to fab your own inlet tubing but this should solve the "Y" pipe ishu. hurt right now so can't work on truck, but hope this helps some.

You will need to have a new high pressure AC line made but the low pressure side can be straightened out a little and it will fit. Also make sure you tighten the connections on the condensor before you intall them because they are under the core support when installed.

Did the intercooler placed infront of the air condenser hurt the perforance of the air?
